Hearty Fall Soup

DESCRIPTION

Fall and slow-cooked beef stew go perfectly together. This recipe is super easy to assemble, and the oven does most of the work for you. It’s even better the next day!


INGREDIENTS

2lbs of chuck or sirloin
2 tsp salt or to taste
1/2 tsp pepper
1T butter
2T olive oil
yellow onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic crushed
1 can of crushed tomatoes 
32oz bone broth
1 carrot chopped
1 quartered sweet potato
2T NuttZo Power Fuel 
3 tsp of your favorite dried herbs
1/4 tsp pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup rice or pasta optional

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 300 F.

Add olive oil and butter to Dutch oven, and place on stovetop over medium heat.
Salt and pepper both sides of beef and then sear each side.
Add onions and garlic and saute for 5 minutes until translucent.
Add remaining ingredients, plus a cup or so of water.
Place in oven with the lid on.
Cook for 3 to 4 hours until meat falls apart.
Optional: add uncooked rice or pasta about 15 minutes before you turn off the oven.
Let cool before serving. 8-10 servings
