NuttZo, known for its blend of 7 nuts and seeds and cult-like following, was pioneered in our founder’s kitchen over 10 years ago — back when there were only peanut butters and almond butters.
The Story - circa 2008
Sometimes life’s unexpected twists and turns lead you to your best life. After adopting her two sons, Danielle, founder of the NuttZo brand, was focused on creating the most nutrient dense meals for their bodies. The boys were both extremely picky eaters but they loved peanut butter. In desperation, she took to the kitchen and blended a mix of nuts and seeds to make a delicious plant-based protein source for them that gave them the diverse vitamins and minerals they needed. Voilà, the nut and seed butter brand ‘NuttZo’ was born!
At NuttZo we believe in sourcing the highest quality of ingredients so that we don't have to add sugar or oils to make it taste good. We love every nut and seed that nature perfected along with all their different benefits so we spend hours in our NuttZo test kitchen blending and tasting to make sure our nuts and seeds compliment each other in every delectable spoonful. Our goal is to help you fuel your body throughout your busy day with a variety of nuts and seeds.
Since 2008, nut butter lovers have upgraded their favorite MONO nut butter to NuttZo's socially conscious, nutrient-packed nut and seed butters. NuttZo is a female founded and led certified WBE, and donates portions of each sale to its sister nonprofit Project Left Behind, which benefits underprivileged and orphaned children around the world. NuttZo is available in organic, all-natural, GMO-project verified, gluten-free, palm oil-free, soy-free, peanut-free, tree-nut free, refined-sugar free and BPA-free varieties.
About the Founder
Danielle LiVolsi is a mission-driven dynamo. Her tenacity and entrepreneurial prowess was evident in her early media career with a New York City publisher and a top-ranked San Diego radio station, so it’s no surprise she dreamed up an entirely new natural food category while perusing the peanut butter and jelly aisle of her local grocery store! Searching for protein and nutrient-rich options for her adopted sons, she found plenty of peanut butter, some almond butter … and that’s about it. Once home, Danielle grabbed her food processor and blended every possible combination of nuts and seeds, taste-testing along the way with the help of her sons, until Nuttzo was born.

Project Left Behind (PLB) is a project-focused, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that volunteers, donates, and supports underprivileged children in Peru.
At the heart of NuttZo is our mission to spread health and happiness all over the world. While launching NuttZo, we created a non-profit that remains core to who we are today. Making a real difference is what motivates us most. PLB’s mission is to promote education, improved nutrition, and living conditions for orphans and neglected children around the world. PLB currently supports a children’s home in Peru. Volunteers visit the children’s home every year through the PLB Voluntours program.Learn More About Project Left Behind
