NuttZo Cacao-Licious BrowniesIngredients
1 cup Nuttzo Seven Nut and Seed Butter (Crunchy Dark Chocolate recommended)*
1/3 cup gluten free flour
¼ cup ground cacao
1/3 cup Sucanat or Turbinado sugar (also known as sugar in the raw)
1/3 cup olive or coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 8 by 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, letting the paper over-lap to create handles. Spray the two sides of the pan where the parchment is not touching.
Combine the dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl: gluten free flour, ground cacao, sucanat, cinnamon and sea salt. In a separate bowl whisk the wet ingredients: nut butter, egg, oil and vanilla. Combine the wet ingredients into the dry and then fold the walnuts if using. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan.
Bake for approximately 15-18 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack before lifting the brownies out of the pan. Cut into 16 pieces. These will last at room temperature for 3 days, that is if you have self-control J
Yield: 16 squares
